鈴木陽向

Second-year student at Kamiyama Marugoto College of Design, Engineering and Entrepreneurship

I am a 16-year-old student engineer from Tokyo, exploring new forms of intelligence through AI and robotics.
My long-term goal is to earn a PhD and establish an independent research institute as a researcher and entrepreneur.

Timeline

  1. Discovering programming

I chose cryptography as an independent research topic and tried creating, decrypting, and breaking several ciphers, but my limited mathematical knowledge held me back. Working in Excel on a school-issued computer was also cumbersome. Together, these experiences sparked my interest in mathematics and computing.

  2. The release of ChatGPT

In my third year of junior high school, ChatGPT took the world by storm. After watching a YouTube video in which ChatGPT wrote Tetris, I tried it myself. Seeing the program actually run ignited my interest in AI.

  3. Visiting Silicon Valley

At my parents' suggestion, I joined a Silicon Valley program organized by Shibuya City and met local entrepreneurs, researchers, and policymakers.

  4. Studying blockchain at the University of Tokyo

A YouTube video first sparked my interest in blockchain. When I learned that the University of Tokyo had opened a blockchain lecture program, I joined it.

  5. Entering Kamiyama Marugoto College of Design, Engineering and Entrepreneurship

  6. Joining FRC Team Hanabi

After entering Kamiyama Marugoto College, I joined FRC Team Hanabi and began learning robotics. I also joined the business team and helped secure resources worth nearly three million yen.

  7. Visiting India

I traveled to India through a school program and presented a business proposal to a local social entrepreneur.

  8. Visiting Florida

I was selected for Team Hanabi's travel group and visited South Florida in March 2026, where I served as a presenter.

  9. Selected for Chugoku-Shikoku Tech Gateway

Selected for the "Continuum" research project on TTT, an AI model that adapts to input data while reasoning.

I apply the mathematics I have studied since junior high school to build systems with a deeper understanding of how they work. Since joining Hanabi, I have also connected AI systems to actuators such as robots.
